The Lovely Blog Award

Yeah!  What great news to wake up to this morning!  My good writing friend, the beautiful and talented, Charlotte Jane Ivory awarded me the Lovely Blog Award.  Thank you :D

The official rules of the Lovely Blog Award are (rules are more like guidelines anyhow...):
1.  Accept the award, post the award on your blog together with the name of the person who has granted the award and his or her blog link. If you want to take a pause, wait on the thunderous applause, this is your moment. : )  And acceptance speeches are always welcome.
2.  Pay it forward to some other blogs you have newly discovered. Well, I have a couple, which I've noted below.
3.  Contact those blog owners and let them know they've been chosen. After all, what's the point of winning something if you don't know about it, right?

Now only to chose a few, when many are worthy:

Elle Strauss, writer of historical and chicklit YA, an the odd MG.  Her blog features interesting posts from Character development, to discussion about voice, and tips on technology that the writer and blogger need to know.

Taffy, her blog is full of encouragement to keep going, and quotes that inspire.

Deborah Lawrenson, a blog dedicated to feeding off the inspiration of her beautiful surroundings, and how this provided the perfect backdrop for her book due out in July 2011 in the UK, and September 2011 in the U.S.

Write Club, a blog contributed to by several genre writers on the craft of writing, the business of publishing and much more.

  2. Yes, congratulations yourself, Carolyn - quite right, this IS a lovely blog - and thank you so much for the honour. I may store it up for a little while, but rest assured, it will be well passed on in time.
